About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Investment Analyst to join our dynamic origination team in our Toronto office. As a key member of our commercial mortgage investments team, you will leverage our team's extensive market knowledge and experience to swiftly navigate and underwrite complex lending opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing thorough financial analyses, underwriting models, and investment presentations for consideration by the Board of Directors and investment committees of various investment platforms.
  • Conducting comprehensive due diligence on mortgages and investments, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients, consultants, and partners through effective communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Staying abreast of market trends and developments in the GTA and Ontario real estate markets, providing valuable insights and contributing to informed decision-making.

About You

  • Completion of a University degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, or Real Estate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the real estate industry, preferably with a nonbank lender, financial institution or real estate developer.
  • Detailed knowledge of the GTA and its various municipalities.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, coupled with a passion for real estate and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective presentation, communication (verbal, written), and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and solve complex problems.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and team-oriented, with a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
