About the Role:

The Meat Clerk is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive shopping experience. As a Meat Clerk, you will be the face of our store, working closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure a safe and healthy shopping environment.
  • Order, receive, and merchandise meat products in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
  • Provide superior customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products and engaging with customers to understand their needs.
  • Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Prepare customer meat orders and process department shrink as required.
  • Participate in the training of junior staff and contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.
