**Job Summary**

Armour Transportation Systems is seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing our day-to-day safety initiatives and promoting a safety culture that aligns with our company values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Operations Management to develop and implement safety-related strategies and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a safety culture that promotes a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Design and deliver safety training programs for drivers and employees.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Investigate incidents and conduct root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure safety performance.
  • Manage and develop a team of safety professionals to support our safety initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a safety role, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • NATMI CDS or similar industry certification is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment with a high volume of communication.
  • Some non-standard work hours and travel may be required.

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and TMW Applications.
