Job Summary:

The Merchandiser/Store Associate (Part-time) is responsible for maintaining the Hallmark Canada product displays in pharmacies, grocery stores, or retail outlets. This role involves supporting the territory manager and working as part of the retail merchandising team. Key responsibilities include receiving and installing products, managing inventory, and maintaining product displays according to the merchandising plan and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the retail merchandising team in maintaining product displays, managing inventory, and performing tasks related to product merchandising in assigned retail stores.
  • Maintain a regular schedule of store visits and adhere to budgets while being flexible from week to week based on store needs, particularly during peak holiday seasons.
  • Follow the merchandising plan, productivity standards, and provided schedule. Pay close attention to details and follow procedures to be efficient and productive, reporting any issues to the territory manager.
  • Provide additional support during periods of high demand, such as holidays or when stores are short-staffed.
  • Assist with product revisions, relocations, and installations in new stores.

Communication Skills:

  • Regularly communicate with the territory manager to stay informed about upcoming programs and activities in stores.
  • Collaborate with the account manager, representing Hallmark, to discuss planned store visits and maintain professional relationships with account managers.
  • Communicate clearly with the territory manager to ensure product service and merchandising meet or exceed store standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Previous experience in retail is an asset.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good knowledge of smartphones and ability to manage an email account.
