Job Title: Clinical Therapist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Therapist to join our team at Kinark Child and Family Services. As a Clinical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic services to children, youth, and families in a mental health setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to clients with a range of mental health concerns.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health treatment and incorporate evidence-based approaches into your practice.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
  • Excellent clinical assessment, formulation, and treatment planning skills.
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families in a mental health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training and/or experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and populations.
  • Computer competency and proficiency in electronic health records.
