We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for drywall installation projects
  • Supervise and train other workers on drywall installation and finishing techniques
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat as required
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a tight and secure fit
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency for a smooth application
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings to create a unique finish
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring to provide a solid base for plastering
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Install vapor barriers and thermal and sound insulation to ensure a comfortable and quiet environment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a dusty and noisy environment
  • Ability to work outdoors and in various locations
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
