About the Role:

As a ServiceNow Developer at Alberta Health Services, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to support various business processes within the organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and configure ServiceNow to meet those needs. This role involves troubleshooting issues, improving system performance, and ensuring data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document system requirements.
  2. Translate business needs into technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  3. Customize and configure ServiceNow to meet specific business processes, workflows, and user requirements, including creating forms, fields, workflows, and integrations.
  4. Manage data and maintain data integrity within the ServiceNow system, performing data imports, exports, and audits as needed.
  5. Collaborate with business and other IT teams to integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications, ensuring seamless data exchange.
  6. Work with business teams to identify opportunities for automation and create automated workflows and processes within ServiceNow to streamline tasks and improve productivity.
  7. Provide support to end-users, addressing issues and troubleshooting problems related to the ServiceNow platform.
  8. Prepare training material if required on new features and functionalities.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any assigned ServiceNow incident.
  10. Follow AHS change management processes to implement any change requests.
  11. Participate in initiatives for platform upgrades and patches, testing new features and functionality before implementing them.
  12. Prepare all required documentation for any configurations and customizations following best practices.
What You'll Need:

To be successful in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of experience working directly in ServiceNow as a Developer is also necessary. ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified System Administrator or Certified Application Developer, are a plus. Proficiency in ServiceNow administration and development is essential, as is strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required for working with stakeholders.
