Job Title: Loss Prevention Security Guard

Securiguard is seeking experienced individuals to fill the role of Loss Prevention Security Guard in the Niagara region. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our retail clients' assets and minimizing losses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine surveillance and employ observational skills to identify and prevent theft, fraud, or other security breaches.
  • Interact with customers and employees to deter potential incidents while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Investigate suspicious activities, review CCTV footage, and collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
  • Craft detailed incident reports and enforce security protocols to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Requirements:
  • Valid Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR
  • At least 1 year of security experience in a high-profile customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to work at different sites across the Niagara region.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports.
  • Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code, and 494(c)
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to conduct arrests in appropriate and sanctioned situations.
  • Military/Police background/Law Enforcement background is an asset.
  • Strong observational skills and situational awareness
  • Punctuality
  • Able to stand/patrol up for up to 12 hours.
Training and Development:

Completion of Use of Force Training and Lawful Subject Restraint, and Crisis Management training are requirements for this role. Annual re-certification is also necessary. Securiguard University Orientations courses are provided for skill development.
