Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and enhance team performance while actively participating in security operations
  • Manage training, coaching, human resources, safety, and recruitment for the team
  • Monitor foot traffic: observe for suspicious behavior, communicate with management and surveillance
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by welcoming guests, addressing inquiries, and providing solutions
  • Escort individuals within the premises and parking areas; may administer first aid; conduct interviews and investigations; prepare reports
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas, ensuring they are free from hazards, debris, and litter
  • Perform all duties safely and responsibly
  • Comply with departmental quality standards
  • Carry out other related and compatible tasks as assigned

What You Bring to the Team

  • At least 6 months of experience in a security role
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
  • Empathetic in dealing with individuals and proactive in providing solutions
  • Good judgment and understanding of casino operations
  • Familiarity with computers and surveillance technology
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Smart Serve (Ontario) certification prior to start date
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capacity to physically restrain and secure individuals using prescribed techniques
  • Social perceptiveness and good vision to identify individuals
