Lead Traffic Engineer/Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Planning and Operations Lead to join our team at EXP. As a key member of our transportation planning and infrastructure group, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in developing and implementing transportation plans and operational analyses.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Develop and supervise a team that handles transportation planning and traffic operations analyses, including complex traffic impact studies, environmental assessment, and construction traffic impact analyses.
- Project Management: Manage projects related to transportation planning and traffic operations, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and budget adherence.
- Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, preparing technical reports and presentations to meet their needs.
- Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with quality control.
- Report Preparation: Oversee the assessments and preparation of reports, drawings prepared by junior staff.
- Public Presentations: Represent EXP and/or clients at public and private meetings, making presentations to municipal road authorities and MTO.
- Business Development: Assist in business development activities to grow our transportation planning and operations group.
- Team Culture: Contribute to the overall team culture and environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of related experience, preferably with Ontario Municipal road and Provincial authorities and land development.
- RAQS certification for Traffic Impact Analysis, or qualifications to certify.
- P. Eng. designation with PEO is required.
- Experience in project management, report preparation, and client relationship management.
- Proficient in the application of specialized traffic assessments and/or transportation planning software (Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsum, and EMME).
- Experience leading and working on Transportation Master Plan projects is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and advanced technical writing abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- CITE membership is desired.
- A valid Ontario driver's license.
