Job Title: Church Caretaker

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Church Caretaker to join our team at St. Thomas' Anglican Church. As a Church Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our community.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness of hallways, floors, and stairs, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and perform other routine maintenance tasks such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, and perform other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with repetitive tasks and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary equipment.
