Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Paint Mixing and Application: Mix paint to the desired color and texture, and apply it to interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques.
  • Wall Covering Installation: Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls, ensuring a precise and professional finish.
  • Customer Service: Advise consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
  • Scaffolding and Rigging: Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as required for safe and efficient access to work areas.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan and coordinate work schedules to ensure timely completion.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling, and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Willing to train and develop skills in painting and wall covering.
Language and Hours

Work Language: English. Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
