Our underground division is renowned for its expertise in the installation of both shallow and deep water systems, stormwater management, and sewer infrastructure in densely populated urban settings, alongside the repair of existing facilities. The Water & Sewer Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing a variety of underground piping construction tasks, reporting directly to the Site Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe and inclusive work atmosphere for the crew.
  • Guide and mentor crew members, collaborating with the Superintendent to establish effective mentorship opportunities on-site.
  • Document daily hours and production metrics for reporting purposes.
  • Lead daily toolbox discussions to outline the scope of work and identify potential hazards.
  • Organize and manage crew assignments for daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to strategize and implement work plans.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Site Superintendent and project coordinator to ensure production schedules are met and address any challenges by coordinating additional resources or notifying clients of delays.
  • Assess equipment and material requirements on-site and arrange for their timely delivery in conjunction with the project coordinator and Site Superintendent.
  • Evaluate labor needs and time estimates necessary for project completion.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across all projects.
  • Participate in site meetings to relay critical information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and project coordinator to gather accurate field data for billing and administrative purposes.
  • Work alongside the Superintendent to identify any additional billable items and communicate these to the project coordinator for follow-up.
  • Assist the Superintendent in addressing deficiencies promptly and ensure proper documentation is provided to the coordinator and office personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman in the Water and Sewer sector.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
  • Certifications in CSTS Confined Space Entry/Monitor & Rescue, Fall Protection, Ground Disturbance, LSE, and First Aid.
