Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) at Southern Health-Santé Sud plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute, transitional, personal care home, and home care. As a key member of the healthcare team, the RN/RPN applies the nursing process to support clients in achieving their optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare providers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
- Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Completion of approved Operating Room nursing education
- Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
