Scientific Expertise for Diabetes and Obesity

Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to serve as a scientific resource for Canadian experts in the field of Diabetes, Obesity, and related disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the scientific community to facilitate the exchange of scientific information.
  • Provide in-depth disease state and product information to healthcare professionals.
  • Facilitate the work of scientific experts when it aligns with Lilly's mission.
  • Connect thought leaders and scientific experts with other Lilly resources.
  • Respond to requests for scientific information in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in health sciences (PhD, MD, Pharm D) with 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience in Diabetes.
  • OR MSc in health care/professional designation (BScN, PT, RD etc.).
  • Language: English. French an asset.
Preferred Skills:
  • Intellectual curiosity and intelligence about the field of Endocrinology, Chronic Weight Management, and other related disorders.
  • Ability to critically appraise scientific information/literature.
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to comprehend large amounts of scientific content and communicate in a clear, concise fashion.
  • Familiarity with the academic community and medical research.
  • Experience in professional networking with positive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills, with an ability to work within teams to prioritize key projects and medical tactics.
  • Strong desire and willingness to deliver on key performance measures.
  • Significant clinical or research work in the areas of Endocrinology and Chronic Weight Management.
  • Previous Medical Science Liaison experience considered an asset.
