About the Role

AFL is seeking a skilled Commercial Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles on construction sites, minimizing the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Familiar with digital logs and responsible for operating commercial vehicles on construction sites in a safe and effective manner.
  • Clean, maintain, and secure all equipment as directed by AFL policies and procedures.
  • Perform pre-shift inspections, change attachments, lubricate, and refill equipment while performing other site duties as assigned.
  • Properly report any mechanical or safety problems with the equipment in accordance with company procedures.
  • Proactively communicate with foreman, superintendent, and coworkers.
  • Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as required.
  • Perform other site duties or functions, consistent with status or vocational ability as may be required from time to time.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for our people, clients, subcontractors, and the public.
  • Represent AFL to the public in a manner that is consistent with corporate values and goals.
  • Lead by example.
  • Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of construction experience.
  • Low bed experience required.
  • Experience in Utility Construction – ASSET.
  • Ability to travel to various site-based projects as required.
  • Hydro Vac.
