About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at AP Group Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to construct building frameworks.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, requiring attention to detail and precision.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other carpenters and construction personnel, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures, including wooden structures in various settings, such as mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Requirements
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing.
  • Capacity to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on client satisfaction and reliability.
  • Availability for a permanent position, working 30 hours per week.
  • Proficiency in English language.
