About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Middle Office Operations Associate to join our team at MUFG Investor Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of client transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and oversee reconciliation technology to provide a Gross NAV to all clients, including cash, position, dividend, and interest reconciliations.
  • Ensure trade processing is complete, corporate actions have been booked correctly, security definitions and pricing are accurate, and take other necessary actions to ensure client portfolios are constructed when required.
  • Oversee any PL anomalies, identify the reasons, and solve the problems.
  • Review pricing of portfolios with multiple asset classes, for exchange-traded and OTC securities.
  • Respond to client queries and manage the new client onboarding process, ensuring the intake process is completed with the highest available standards.
  • Ensure SLAs are strictly followed, proactively escalating any potential problems.
  • Work with custodians and other third-parties on an ongoing basis and provide feedback to management.
  • Communicate any operational issues and arise to Associate Director.
  • Maintain a good relationship with client contacts and respond to client queries.
  • Take responsibility for being the point of operations contact for the allocated funds.
  • Oversight of reconciliation and data transmission technology.
  • Strictly follow MUFG standards, procedures, and controls while performing the job.
Requirements
  • University degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Math, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Creativity in exploring solutions to improve daily operational efficiency.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Products.
  • Strong understanding of market practices, accounting methods, and P&L calculations of securities such as equities, bonds, forwards, futures, options, and OTC products.
  • Passion to improve processes and increase efficiency.
