Elections Manitoba is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as the Director of Strategic Initiatives. This key role will drive process optimization and enhanced service delivery in preparation for election events.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and prepare legislative, regulatory, jurisdictional, and policy research and analysis on complex political processes and interactions.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve service delivery and process optimization.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on complex issues and manage confidential and politically sensitive material with diplomacy and tact.
- Establish framework and mechanisms for ongoing environmental scanning and analysis, prepare detailed reports, discussion papers, and briefing notes on current and emerging issues.
- Contribute to longer-term strategic planning for the organization and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Master's degree considered an asset.
- Extensive experience conducting and preparing legislative, regulatory, jurisdictional, and policy research and analysis.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills with experience in research and analysis.
- Strong political acumen with the ability to manage confidential and politically sensitive material and situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Proven capability to identify and deliver key strategic insights, counsel, and policy to decision-makers.
- Experience supervising teams, leading, managing, and coordinating projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands within tight timelines.
- Experience using data analysis tools and modeling to support business case development, impact analysis, and cost estimations.
