Job Title: Semester 1 Long-Term Occasional Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced teacher to fill a long-term occasional position in our English department for Semester 1. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students with a focus on special education.

Job Summary:

The Simcoe County District School Board is committed to providing a high-quality education to all students. As a long-term occasional teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to teach English to students with a focus on special education.

Responsibilities:
  1. Teach English to students with a focus on special education.
  2. Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students with special education requirements.
  3. Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  4. Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure student success.
  5. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English to students with special education requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff.
