Pre-Board Screening Officer Job Description

At Paladin Airport Security Services, we are committed to providing exceptional customer service while upholding the safety of passengers and creating a positive travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints efficiently and effectively.
  • Confirm valid boarding passes and scan baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other technology.
  • Protect restricted areas and manage conflict situations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with passengers and colleagues.
  • Uphold all regulations with vigilance and maintain a high level of security awareness.
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills, preferably in a high-volume environment for a minimum of one (1) year.
  • Open availability to work any shift as required by the airport operations, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; fluency in French is an asset.
  • Ability to comply with the CATSA medical requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

If you are successful in the application process, you will be required to apply for a Transport Security Clearance (TSC), which requires an extensive background check. Once obtained, you will be eligible to begin the Screening Officer Foundations (SOF) course, which must be successfully passed prior to beginning work as a Pre-Board Screening Officer.
