About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Form Carpenter to join our team at Reimar Construction and Forming. As a Form Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instructing apprentices
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Work Environment

As a Form Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. You will be exposed to noisy and dusty conditions, and will be required to work outdoors.
