We are currently recruiting for a **Journeyperson Carpenter **to join the team at one of the **Buildings **projects in **Hamilton, ON**

The position offers an opportunity for long-term employment and works a Monday to Friday schedule with the possibility of overtime-afternoon, evenings/weekend work as site requires.

**Responsibilities**:

- Comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
- Understand industrial concrete forming, build concrete forms, and other structures
- Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
- Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location
- Organization and site clean up as per site HSE standards

**Requirements**:

- Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours
- Must have safety tickets: WHMIS, Working at Heights Ticket, and 4 Step Safety Certificate
- Able to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Light equipment operating experience an asset
- Ability to coach, mentor and train apprentices
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
- Reliable transportation
