About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our product development team at Amico Mobility Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new mechanical systems and products that meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new mechanical components and assemblies from concept to manufacturing
  • Apply advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles to solve complex problems and improve existing designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and manufacturing processes
  • Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and failure mode and effects analysis to ensure product reliability and quality
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design master records and design history files
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on product design and development
  • Build and test prototypes to ensure product functionality and performance
  • Identify and analyze product, manufacturing, or process issues and implement corrective actions
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and other teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering, P.Eng. status required
  • 5-6 years of proven working experience in mechanical design, preferably in the area of medical device manufacturing or instrumentation
  • Proven experience in designing mechanical components or assemblies from concept to manufacturing
  • Proficient in 3D solid modeling CAD (preferably SolidWorks 2017 or above) and detailing
  • Good understanding of the design process and ISO quality systems
  • Working knowledge of drafting standards and GD&T
  • Working knowledge of plastic injection moulding, jig & fixture design, and basic electronics
