About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Server Assistant to join our team at Alchemy. As a Server Assistant, you will provide exceptional support to our Servers by ensuring that all tables are properly set, clean, and complete. You will also be responsible for monitoring food quality and presentation standards, as well as communicating with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Servers with food running and ensure that plates arrive at the correct table
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
  • Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating and ensure a positive guest experience
  • Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required
  • Ensure that condiments are pre-portioned and the fridges are stocked with milk, cream, and butter
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems
  • Empty garbage, change linen bags, and dispose of garbage and recycling
  • Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience

Requirements

  • A Degree/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset
  • Smart Serve Certification a requirement
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to take direction and prioritize
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • High level of product knowledge
  • Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
