Position: Rehabilitation Specialist at Southern Health-Santé Sud

Under the supervision of the Manager - Rehabilitation Services, the Rehabilitation Specialist will function autonomously as a member of a regional rehabilitation team. Key responsibilities encompass the planning, execution, and assessment of rehabilitation services tailored for both children and adults, emphasizing a client-focused and objective-driven methodology. Tasks include evaluation, intervention, consultation, and education across various environments such as acute care, outpatient facilities, long-term care, and community-based settings.

  • Engage in the provision and evaluation of rehabilitation services for a varied adult clientele.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy or a comparable field
  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and email platforms
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Organizational and time management proficiency
  • Aptitude for fostering professional relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Aware of cultural diversity
  • Fluency in both official languages (for bilingual roles)
  • Physical and mental readiness for the responsibilities
