Restaurant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Suvnj Hospitality Inc. o/a A&W. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our business runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure seamless execution.
  • Financial Management: Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Cost Management: Cost products and services to ensure optimal profitability and efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that products are available when needed.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to secure the best possible deals.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Marketing: Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote our restaurant and increase sales.

  • Accuracy: Ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Client Focus: Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain effective relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers.

Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience: We are looking for candidates with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Participation in government or community programs: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Settlement support: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Social and labour market integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Mentorship programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and cross-cultural training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participation in government or community programs: Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Mentorship and coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Relationships with Indigenous communities: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Cultural competency training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
