Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Stratford Raja INC.
Job Summary:The Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement effective scheduling systems to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Oversee the activities of food service staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide training and coaching to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities and can perform their tasks safely and effectively.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
- Ensure Quality Control Standards: Monitor and maintain quality control standards to ensure that all food and service meet the highest standards.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to ensure that our operations are running efficiently.
- Prepare Food Order Summaries: Prepare summaries of food orders for the chef to ensure that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Supervise Delivery of Food Trolleys: Oversee the delivery of food trolleys to ensure that all food is delivered safely and efficiently.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
- Mentorship Programs: We offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees to help them settle into their new role.
