Electrical Engineering Internship Opportunity

CIMA+ is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Electrical intern student to contribute to our Electrical Infrastructure team. This role involves engaging with projects that span various sectors, including transit, commercial, industrial, and municipal infrastructure, with a focus on water and wastewater treatment facilities. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and insight into the consulting engineering field.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Electrical Infrastructure team in their daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Conduct quality control reviews of technical drawings.
- Participate in shop drawing evaluations.
- Prepare and write technical documentation and reports.
- Attend regular team meetings and project-specific discussions.
- Engage in training sessions as required.
- Manage and organize project documentation in line with CIMA's Project Management Standards.
- Conduct site visits alongside Senior Engineers for equipment assessment, testing, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor's Degree program (B.Eng.) or equivalent.
- Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Possession of a valid Ontario driver's license.
- Access to a vehicle is preferred.
The anticipated salary for this internship ranges from $22.50 to $28.00 per hour, contingent upon your academic background, credit accumulation, and prior co-op or internship experiences. The final compensation may be adjusted based on your individual profile.
