Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Class 3A driver to join our team at Farmer's Business Network, Inc. As a Class 3A Driver/Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products within our distribution center and to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 3A vehicle to transport materials and products to and from our distribution center and customer locations.
- Perform warehouse duties, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including those related to hazardous materials and equipment operation.
- Manage delivery schedules and coordinate with customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Conduct regular safety audits and report any defects, accidents, or violations to management.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe operation of the warehouse.
- Participate in training and development programs to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Current Class 3A license and clean driving record.
- Current TDG and WHMIS endorsement or ability to obtain them.
- 5+ years of experience in product delivery and distribution to a customer base.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Proven work experience managing direct-to-customer deliveries (Final Mile).
- Knowledge of safety and legal documentation processes for handling related driver and warehouse activities (MSDS, Equipment Checklist, BOL).
- Excellent leadership and administration skills and abilities.
- Ability to effectively manage time, resolve crises, and make decisions.
- Ability to efficiently coordinate work with internal and external workers of the company.
- Ability to work occasional weekend shifts during peak season.
- Clean/Pass DOT drug/alcohol and physical.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified or ability to be certified on equipment (forklift, etc).
- Working understanding of WMS system.
- Acceptable incident history.
- Class 1A license.
- Compliance with safety regulations.
- Ability to safely handle equipment used to physically move inventory.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc).
