Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Class 3A driver and warehouse worker to join our team at Farmer's Business Network, Inc. This role requires a strong focus on material movement and local delivery of chemical, fertilizer, and seed products from our central distribution warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a box truck and other equipment to transport products to customers, adhering to all legal and safety procedures.
  • Manage the safe, professional, and efficient delivery of products, including customer-facing interactions and communication for scheduling and deliveries.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all tools and equipment, and coordinate all required paperwork for shipment and deliveries.
  • Complete regular safety and quality audits, and comply with driver/warehousing rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions, and report defects, accidents, or violations.

Requirements

  • Current Class 3A license and clean driving record.
  • Current TDG and WHMIS endorsement or ability to obtain them.
  • 5+ years of experience in product delivery and distribution to a customer base.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Proven work experience managing direct-to-customer deliveries (Final Mile).
  • Knowledge of safety and legal documentation processes for handling related driver and warehouse activities (MSDS, Equipment checklist, BOL).
  • Excellent leadership and administration skills and abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, resolve crises, and make decisions.
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate work with internal and external workers of the company.
  • Ability to work occasional weekend shifts during peak season.
  • Clean/Pass DOT drug/alcohol and physical.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified or ability to be certified on equipment (forklift, etc).
  • Working understanding of WMS system.
  • Acceptable incident history.
  • Class 1A license.
  • Comply with safety regulations.
  • Ability to safely handle equipment used to physically move inventory.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc).
