We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Associate to join our Cardiology team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our vision of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to inpatients under the supervision of the Cardiology Attending physician.
- Participate in patient rounds and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
- Assess patient care needs and respond to changing patient conditions.
- Perform and document admission history and physical examinations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of two years of postgraduate training as a medical specialist.
- Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs).
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) in the Associate Physician class.
- Valid Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Demonstrates leadership practices and creates conditions for people to succeed.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to diagnose and manage common medical problems.
- Confidence and experience in recognizing and initiating response to emergency situations.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
