About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at North Lake Enterprises LTD. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, including preparation of master format estimates (Class A) and estimates for general expenses and overheads.
  • Economic Feasibility Studies: Conduct economic feasibility studies and provide preliminary estimates for proposed projects, including project cash flow and financing requirements.
  • Estimate Reporting: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms to stakeholders.
  • Cost Monitoring: Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems to track and adjust contract expenditures.
  • Supply and Contractor Management: Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, and liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate estimates.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
