We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Scientist to lead our AI research efforts at Huawei.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the technical roadmap for AI Agent, Embodied AI, and Reasoning enhanced Large Language Models.
  • Lead a team of researchers to develop state-of-the-art AI solutions and collaborate with product groups to deploy them in real-world settings.
  • Conduct research and analysis on the latest developments and best practices in AI.
  • Identify new and upcoming research areas by interacting with external and internal experts and bring insights to the company.
  • Effectively manage and allocate research budget and resources.
  • Publish, present, and contribute as a thought leader in the relative fields.
Requirements:
  • PhD degree in computer science or related fields with a focus on decision making and reasoning, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Publications in top-tier AI conferences, such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, etc.
  • Deep understanding of fundamentals and state-of-the-art techniques in foundation models for decision making and reasoning.
  • A track record of translating ideas into research prototypes quickly.
  • Working or collaboration experience at/with industry research labs or technology companies is an asset.
  • Experience in building large-scale machine learning solutions for decision making, planning, reasoning, robotics, or multi-agent systems is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills.
