Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintainer to join our team at Apex Tree Service Ltd. As a Grounds Maintainer, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and health of outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and trees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure stability and safety
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth
  • Cut grass to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep outdoor spaces clean
  • Remove litter and garbage to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to improve soil quality
  • Lay sod or seed to repair damaged areas
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the appearance of outdoor spaces
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure their health and appearance
  • Remove trees as needed to maintain outdoor spaces
Requirements
  • Dependability and a strong work ethic
  • Efficient interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and management
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
