About the Role

Viking Fire Protection Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our Fire Alarm Division. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with customers, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and grow revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including identifying and responding to their needs and concerns
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers, including product knowledge and system design
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering and operations teams, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and technologies to provide informed and effective sales support

Requirements

  • College diploma in fire protection or building mechanics or civil engineering, or high school diploma and equivalent relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the fire alarm contracting business
  • Experience troubleshooting and/or installing fire alarm systems (an asset)
  • Knowledge of products used in fire protection and fire alarm and more specifically Notifier products (an asset)
  • Proficiency in standards and codes governing the design and installation of fire alarm systems
  • CFAA certification (an asset)
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Strong customer service skills
