Job Summary

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Humber River Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Family Medicine to lead our team of family physicians. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving excellence in patient care, promoting quality improvement and patient safety, and fostering medical education and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Lead and manage a team of family physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to advance healthcare initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to support departmental goals
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience practicing in family medicine
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in medical education and research
  • Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
  • Membership with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario
