We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director, Clinical Operations at Interior Health Authority. This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong background in healthcare operations and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the effective delivery of clinical patient care services.
- Collaborate with medical leadership to establish operational frameworks and infrastructure to support planning, service delivery, and resource allocation.
- Lead and support the continuous improvement of care processes within assigned portfolio, with a focus on patient and family-centered care and quality improvement.
- Foster strategic relationships with internal and external partners to identify and plan responsive delivery systems and services.
- Develop and manage capital and operating budgets to support strategic directions within existing fiscal constraints.
- Establish effective workforce plans to ensure the ongoing availability of qualified and competent staff.
- Provide leadership and direction for operational staff to achieve required outcomes and ensure adherence to accreditation, regulatory, professional, and safety standards.
- Evaluate performance of programs and services aligned with corporate direction and establish systems and processes to maintain, evaluate, and report on operations.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards to provide a healthy and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Represent assigned clinical areas on internal and external committees as required.
- Strong background in healthcare operations and leadership.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and implement operational strategies and plans.
- Experience in budget development and management.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
- Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) applicants are encouraged to self-identify.
This position requires fluency in English.
