Fish Processing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fish Processing Specialist to join our team at Cap Pele Bait Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe processing of fish and seafood products.
Key Responsibilities- Cutting and Preparation: Cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing.
- Scraping and Separation: Scrape away scales, cut fish, separate fillets, and remove scrap parts using a knife.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Fish Cleaning and Cutting Machine: Operate and maintain fish cleaning and cutting machines to ensure efficient processing.
- Fish Meal Processing Machine: Operate and maintain fish meal processing machines to ensure high-quality products.
- Roe Processing Machines: Operate and maintain roe processing machines to ensure efficient processing.
- Work Site Environment: Work in a cold, wet, and potentially odorous environment.
- Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality products.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills.
- Language: English or French language proficiency required.
- Work Term: Seasonal work term.
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
