Union rates apply, and all benefits are administered through the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 115.
Compensation Details
- Hourly wage: $23.12-$35.57, based on experience and education
- Vacation pay: 13% of your hourly wage
- Benefits eligibility: After completing 250 hours
- Pension contributions: $4.80 per hour worked
Role Summary
The Construction Labourer will engage in various physical tasks at construction sites and will be required to utilize a range of hand and power tools. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning worksites, supporting excavation sides, clearing debris, and disposing of waste materials. Candidates must be capable of operating equipment such as jackhammers, pavement breakers, concrete mixers, and earth compactors.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a manual labour role is advantageous.
- A safety-focused mindset and approach to work.
- Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
- CSA-approved steel-toed boots are mandatory.
