Job Title: Procurement Quality Assurance Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Quality Assurance Representative to support the implementation of our project procurement quality assurance program for the Pickering Refurb & Boiler Replacement (RFBR) project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate suppliers' capabilities to provide items or services in accordance with procurement documents prior to contract award.
  • Perform vendor qualification audits as required.
  • Review procurement packages, including EQR, PDCL, and technical documents, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare quality tender evaluations and bid evaluations.
  • Contribute to the selection of inspection, testing, and packaging (ITP) control points based on technical requirements and lessons learned from other projects.
  • Perform source surveillance at supplier facilities in accordance with RFBR Project quality program.
  • Verify items at vendor locations and perform final inspections.
  • Sign quality assurance releases in accordance with project instructions.
  • Distribute quality assurance releases.
  • Review and accept vendor documents, including inspection procedures, ITPs, and history dockets.
  • Interface with clients and suppliers to resolve quality issues and report major findings and negative trends to the Project Procurement QA Manager.

Requirements:

  • University or college degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of major project working experience, preferably in the nuclear field.
  • Previous experience with manufacturing facilities on pressure boundary and nuclear components.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment, and techniques.
  • Good knowledge of CSA N 285.0, CSA N 299, and CSA N286-05 and ASME codes.
  • Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems and retube technology.
  • Good knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
  • Good knowledge and experience of special processes (welding and heat treatment, etc.) and non-destructive examination (NDE).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
  • Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
