Position: Chemical Treatment Operator

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

As a Chemical Treatment Operator, you will report directly to the Operations Supervisor and play a crucial role in the efficient and precise operation of treating cylinders and associated machinery for the chemical treatment of wood products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute Treating Charges in accordance with established protocols
  • Verify that Charges are accurately recorded on both paper documentation and digital systems
  • Manage the loading and unloading processes for infeed and outfeed to the staging area
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure the accuracy of all tallies and loads
  • Maintain a clean and organized treating plant area, ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally
  • Promptly report any safety or maintenance concerns to Management
  • Accurately label and complete charge documentation
  • Inspect all loads for any signs of damage
  • Comply with all workplace safety regulations and guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Forklift certification is mandatory (recertification will be provided if necessary)
  • Strong understanding of effective loading and staging techniques
  • Basic computer proficiency is required
  • Meticulous attention to detail in documentation preparation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift
  • Capability to stand and move around the facility for the majority of the workday
  • Basic mathematical skills are essential; a numerical assessment will be administered to all candidates
  • Steel-toed boots are required

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

EDUCATION: High school diploma is preferred; minimum grade 10 is required

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Day shifts, Monday to Friday

TRANSPORTATION: Reliable transportation is necessary as the site is not accessible via public transit.
