About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Lanman Finishing Contractors Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a professional finish.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Client Consultation: Advise clients on colours and choice of wall coverings, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by following all health and safety protocols, and taking necessary precautions to prevent accidents.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, with the ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work at heights.
  • Personal Qualities: A client-focused approach, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude are essential for success in this role.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, both indoors and outdoors, and will be required to work at heights and in environments with odours.
