Job Title: Painter and Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Lanman Finishing Contractors Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting surfaces to a high standard. This will include repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to the desired color and texture, and applying wallpaper and other materials to walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to the desired color and texture
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Advise clients on colors and choice of wall coverings
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work at heights and in outdoors environments
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
  • Physical demands of the job include bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including outdoors and at heights. The work environment will be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
