About the Role

Carollo Engineers is a leading environmental engineering firm seeking a highly skilled Digital Consultant to support our vision of becoming the best water consulting firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead digital water-centric projects, applying technical knowledge of information technologies to the water industry, including data management, data analytics, and data visualization.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Water Group management team and Technical Practice leaders to develop digital tools and applications that integrate technology and data-centric services with other Technical Practice services.
  • Work as an effective member of project teams to apply data analysis, modeling, and visualization techniques to achieve project goals and deliverables.
  • Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers within Carollo management and to clients using various data analysis, modeling, and visualization tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of practical experience with GIS, data management, data processing, database programming, data analytics, and data visualization applied to the water industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of data management technologies applied to the water industry, including GIS, work order management, modeling, and database applications.
  • Background in scripting and application development applied to multiple applications, including GIS, databases, spreadsheets, and web technologies.
  • Understanding of management practices for software development projects, including use-case analysis, specifications, development phases, testing, and deployment phasing.
  • Experience working in the water industry and understanding engineering practices and services supporting water agencies, regulatory agencies, and water-related associations.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks within project timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with groups and individuals at all levels in an organization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python,.NET, HTML, and C#.
  • Experience with GIS applications such as ArcMap, ArcPro, ArcGIS Online, and GIS data processing using geodatabases and other spatial data formats.
  • Experience in the application of data analytics, modeling, and visualization techniques for the water/wastewater industry.
Compensation and Benefits

Carollo offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $162,000 to $189,000 CAD annually, comprehensive health insurance coverage, pre-tax savings account options, disability insurance, and life insurance options. Other benefits include paid time off and holidays, tuition reimbursement, discretionary bonuses, career advancement bonuses, professional registration bonuses, employee referral bonuses, and compensatory time for exempt employees.
