Position Overview:

The role of the Tool Crib Attendant involves supporting the Fleet, Tool, and Equipment Manager by managing orders, loading and unloading equipment, fulfilling requests, and maintaining precise inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience with construction tools and equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize orders for scheduled deliveries
  • Safely load and unload trucks, requiring proficiency in forklift operation
  • Process tool and equipment requisitions for various projects, including material handling with potential lifting of up to 50lbs
  • Document, inspect, and return tools and equipment to inventory
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory and a clean workspace
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Follow environmental guidelines relevant to the role

Qualifications and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of construction trades, tools, and equipment
  • Previous experience in a construction environment is advantageous
  • Proven experience in safe forklift operation
  • WHMIS and safety training certification
  • Competence in data entry and information retrieval using computer systems
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50lbs
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
