Forklift Technician

About the Role:
Fastfrate Group is seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team at our Woodbridge, Ontario office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in forklift and heavy equipment repair, with a strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance of forklifts and other heavy equipment.
- Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot forklift problems, including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and repair mast and attachment components.
- Perform safety inspections of forklifts before releasing them to the work floor.
- Clean equipment and other areas as required.
- Ensure work area and methods meet safety requirements.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in forklift and heavy equipment repair.
- Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
