About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Dinosaur Hotel Newcastle Bar and Sam's Kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of ethnic dishes, including East Indian and international cuisine
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure smooth service
  • Manage kitchen operations to meet the needs of our guests
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Flexibility and reliability are essential
