About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team at SUMAIR DRYWALL LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Operate taping machines to embed tape in compound and achieve a seamless joint.
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Taper, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying locations. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy conditions, requiring physical stamina and manual dexterity.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a client-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions and priorities.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will be required to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a variety of locations.

Language and Work Schedule

The primary language of work is English, and the work schedule is 40 hours per week.
