Key Responsibilities:

Support the daily functions of the Fertilizer Terminal. Oversee and manage terminal machinery for efficient loading and unloading of products. Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of terminal facilities and surrounding areas. Ensure quality control measures are adhered to, including managing product conditions, screening shipments, and maintaining equipment. Engage in safety discussions, facility evaluations, and operational assessments. Keep shipping and receiving zones organized to avoid fertilizer contamination and uphold safety standards.

Team Collaboration:

Colleagues: You will collaborate with a team of three other Fertilizer Terminal Operators and report to the Fertilizer Terminal Supervisor. This group fosters a supportive and cooperative work environment.

Client Interaction: You will focus on customer satisfaction while assisting local Co-ops, agricultural producers, and logistics partners involved in product distribution.

Importance of the Role:

Our Agro team plays a vital role in supporting Western Canadian communities by providing essential products and services to local Co-ops in the agricultural sector.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in trades such as millwright or welding, with a background in terminal operations. Hold a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent qualification. Have a valid driver's license, be comfortable with heights, and be able to work in dusty environments. Exhibit strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrate mechanical skills related to terminal maintenance and possess knowledge of agricultural fertilizer products. Certifications in mobile equipment operation and first aid training are advantageous.
